Apply for pre-approval
Before you go abroad, you must make sure that the courses you plan to take abroad will be able to be transferred towards your degree at DTU. You do this by obtaining a pre-approval of credit transfer, in short referred to as a pre-approval.
According to DTU Rules, you are obliged to apply for pre-approval before going abroad.

www.merit.dtu.dk.
If the semester's course offer is not published at the host university yet
When you look for courses at the host university's website, it will often not be possible to see exactly which courses will be on offer in the semester you will be studying abroad at this early stage. If this is the case, you should base your application on courses that were offered in the previous corresponding semester.
When do you need to apply?
You should apply for pre-approval no later than the deadline provided here. However, we advice you to apply for pre-approval in the beginning of the semester prior to your study abroad semester.
