On this page we have found some example on how the financials can look for a student when they take an exchange semester. For some, their stay can end up with them actually making money – while for others it will draw on their savings. How it will look for you is largely about your choices while you are on exchange, but your destination also plays a role – as certain places are simply more expensive than others and because some students live more expensively than others.
The examples on this page are real examples from 2022. They are based solely on student travel reports and thus their own feedback. We have chosen them for this page because we estimate that they are neither the ones that have "cost" the most or the least - but give a real insight into the finances of an exchange stay.
